With the resurgence of war in Lebanon, external threats, and ongoing domestic challenges, it is easy to feel overwhelmed by the weight of darkness around us. Yet, even in our hardest hours, the bright light of Christ’s resurrection brings us peace, renews our strength, and reassures us that our hope is secure. His love is far greater than any fear or wound we carry.
Despite the instability since March which forced universities online, displaced students, and temporarily closed our LIVF Students’ Home in Hadath our community remained resilient. We gathered through Zoom and safely held in-person meetings in Beirut. These times together served as a breath of fresh air, giving students a safe space to encourage one another, share devotions, and intercede in prayer for Lebanon and the MENA region.
We were also deeply inspired by one of our students, Sila Haddad, who created a artwork reflecting on the theme “Radiant” for IFES Global Giving Day 2026. Her painting beautifully illustrates how the schemes of darkness are met and overcome by the radiant light of the Easter Resurrection. No matter what challenges lie ahead, Christ’s light will continue to shine through our student movement.
