"The conference closed with a renewed sense of community and purpose, reminding all of us that even amid hardship, God is indeed 'doing a new thing'."

This July, I had the privilege of participating in the Senior Students & Graduates Conference, held under the inspiring theme “Behold, I am doing a new thing” (Isaiah 43:19). The gathering brought together graduates from across the region for three days of worship, dialogue, and deep reflection.

As a group-session facilitator, I guided mentor-group discussions that complemented the conference’s rich program. Together, participants engaged with thought-provoking sessions such as Pain & Loss, Temptation & Spiritual Failure, and War, Conflicts & Disputes, exploring how faith responds to life’s most pressing challenges. We also reflected on powerful calls to Reconciliation & Peace, and drew encouragement from plenary themes like Hope Beyond Pain and Restored in Faith.

My role focused on creating a welcoming space where graduates could share personal experiences, ask honest questions, and translate these themes into practical steps for their daily lives and ministries. The lively, cross-cultural dialogue that unfolded affirmed how inclusive conversation and peer learning can strengthen both individual faith journeys and our collective commitment to serve.

The conference closed with a renewed sense of community and purpose, reminding all of us that even amid hardship, God is indeed “doing a new thing” in the MENA region and beyond.
